Description: THE PROVISION OF TRANSLATION & INTERPRETATION SERVICE-CONTRACT REFERENCE- 50199 The London Borough of Barnet wishes to establish a contract for the provision of translation and interpretation services and potential management of that service. Interpreters would be required at short notice to attend interviews in person as well as communicate over the telephone with the council's clients. Translation of council documents may be required at short notice. Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified and experienced providers of Language Services who wish to be considered for selection to tender. The providers will be required to supply interpreters and translation in any one of the Barnet's 64 most commonly used languages. Interpreters will be required to provide their services either for one adhoc session or for a longer pre-determined assignment. Interpreters must be qualified with experience of working with a range of clients, and be CRB checked with CRB reference provided. Council departments will commission interpretation and translation from the provider. Applications will be required to complete a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) giving details of the organisations profile including financial information. This will be used in the evaluation process from which an invitation to tender list will be produced. A performance bond and/or a parent company guarantee may be required before a contract is awarded.
